GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS, Inc. (GSI) is a full service strategic public affairs firm specializing in government, community and media relations. GSI gets results for clients by securing government approvals and community consensus through the successful integration of government relations and community issues management.

With more than 30 years of experience in government and corporate settings, GSI staff specializes in turning the challenges of complex real estate land use changes and developments into project victories. The GSI team are experts in identifying problems, conceptualizing solutions, resolving issues and expediting the process for both public and private sector clients. Our staff has extensive backgrounds in government relations, environmental review and strategic planning, real estate entitlement assessment, land use entitlement, public policy, community relations, coalition building, research, media relations and community issues management.

CORALEE S. NEWMAN, Founding Principal

Coralee S. Newman's real estate development career has been focused on entitlement and community outreach. She began her efforts in 1980 with the landmark approval of the redevelopment of the historic Balboa Fun Zone. The project was granted unanimous approval by both the City of Newport Beach and the California Coastal Commission, supported by the local community, and was featured as the cover article in Orange Coast magazine.

These efforts led Ms. Newman to the Irvine Company where she was a Vice President of Entitlement and Community Issues. During her 10-year career with the Irvine Company she lead teams on large entitlement efforts including Jamboree Center in Irvine, Tustin Ranch in Tustin, and the approval of the 12,000 acre East Orange General Plan.

Ms. Newman holds a BA in Political Science from San Diego State University. She attended the MIT/Harvard Program on Negotiation, and was given the National Association of Women Owned Businesses – Orange County's Pioneer of the Year Award. She is a 7- year member of Vistage, a CEO organization focused on corporate excellence.

Ms. Newman lives in Newport Beach and has raised her family there.

Katie Newman comes from a professional background in education, including the public school system, volunteer teaching in Central America, and the highly acclaimed innovative summer program Camp Galileo. Through creating curriculum and managing diverse educational environments she brings a keen sense of community, refined receptivity, and a careful sense of communication to the world of Real Estate.

Ms. Newman is also trained in Fine Art, possessing a cultivated handle of visual design. In combination with her receptivity to project team objectives and community issues she brings clear and powerful messaging to outreach endeavors. She holds a BA in Visual Art and MA in Education from the University of San Francisco.

Ms. Newman was born and raised in Newport Beach, she currently resides in Santa Ana.
